THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF MORINGA OLEIFERA

 




   Moringa oleifera  is a fast growing tree that has resistance to drought, it is  also known as moringa or drumstick tree. It grows in subtropical region India and Africa, widely cultivated  for it's  young seeds and leaves. Moringa  leaves are used as vegetables, herbal medicines and cusmetics.

  Scientific research has shown that all part of moringa is a well preventive measure and medication for so many diseases. Moringa can be used in different ways, it can be mixed up with the food we eat or substances we drink i.e moringa tea, moringa powder and dried moringa.

People in the olden days are healthier than us living in the modern days especially in African region because we abandoned the use of moringa and other medicinal herbal substances. This maybe one of the reasons why our hospitals are full of patients.

 How moringa is beneficial to human health?

  As a protein, it contains all nine essential amino acid, these are the essential nutrients that regulate mood, build muscles, boost immune system and provide energy.

As a source of vitamins, moringa contains all types of vitamins required by the body to maintain it's healthy condition.

In brain health, it contains antioxidants,this prevent neurons from free radicals which causes Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Also  rich in chemical that activate neural pathways helping to improve alertness, memory and mood.

In liver, it fasten the process of fat metabolism, detoxification of chemicals and blood filteration. It protects the liver from damage and slow down fibrosis.

In digestion, Roots,bark,seeds, flowers and the leaves of moringa are used in gastrointestinal tract to improve digestion.

In case of diabetes, it balance sugar naturally and improve insulin sensitivity, reduce cholesterol and inflammation,also fight against oxidative stress.

At menopausal age, dried moringa reduce it's symptoms which involves mood swings,hot flashes,loss of libido.

Inflammation reduces, an important potent antioxidants called polyphenols helps to fight against inflammation. Moringa also inhibit prostaglandins as aspirin and ibuprofen do.

Improve sexual performance by increase in testosterone levels, improve erectile, boosting libido and increases sperm count due to a compound found in moringa called beta  sitosterol.

For nursing mothers,it improves milk productions, good for the healthy of mother and the baby.

Moringa decrease asthma symptoms improves lung function, decrease fat formation and it’s breakdown, decrease blood sugar levels.
