THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF CLOVES

 



 Clove is derived from latin word _clauvus_, meaning nail because it's dried head resembles  nail. Cloves are dried flower buds from a clove tree native to India.

People used cloves in food and medicinal purposes for a long time until recently scientist made a research and found that it has abundance health benefits resulting from its contents such as vitamin k, potassium, Beta carotene and eugenol. Cloves are important at any form, dried cloves, clove oil and cloves powder.

  *BENEFITS* 

Clove oil has effects on plaque, gingivitis and oral bacteria. It helps to maintain oral health.

Eugenol found in cloves reduce signs of liver cirrhosis and fatty liver disease to improve function of the liver.

Cloves reduces ulcer infection by thickening the mucus protecting the stomach lining when taken in large amount.

In diabetes, it helps to reduce blood sugar level.

The antioxidants in cloves slow the growth of cancer cells.

Also it reduces the incidence of obesity.

 *SIDE EFFECTS*

It may affect patient with hypoglycemia.

According to the national center for Biotechnology information, multiple hazard associated with clove oil that can damage liver.
